Leeches! Leeches! Everywhere leeches! On your legs! In your eyes! Behind your ears! Sucking your blood! In your medicine cabinet?
Yes, thanks to the good people of the Blutegel company, you can now enjoy the convenience of medicinal leeches in your very own home (if you are a doctor and your home is medical clinic in the EU). At around €5 per leech, it’s a cheap and effective solution to all that ails you. But how many leeches could one person need? Four behind the ear will relieve tinnitus. Usually, no more than ten are used at a time, with increasing amounts used every time you come in for leech therapy. Furthermore, Blutegel brand leeches are the highest quality leeches around:
“Our medicinal leeches are grown up in turkey ponds and lakes in national protected areas. In these areas no humans reside. It is certified by the exporter of the leeches that those leeches did not have any human contact. The imported leeches are kept in quarantine for six months, which represents an additional measure of safety. … The young leech nourishes itself of the blood of small water animals e.g. frogs, toads or fish. The fortpflanzungsfaehigkeit of the leechs improves however with the blood of warmbluetigen animals. With this blood the leech becomes in former times sex ripe”

The leech therapy should be accomplished only by experienced Therapists!
Leeches should be applied with a liqueur glass and set with wood putty. In case of a thunderstorm leeches may not bite, so it is recommended to first apply butter to the skin. It is not advisable to apply leeches on the palms or nipples. Leeches have approximately 80 teeth and no brain. Caution is required with pregnant women and satisfying mothers, and with humans with a bad constitution. Leeches are FDA approved and discussed positively in the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology.

“The leech sucks approx. 30 minutes. One should let the animals in peace suck and under no circumstances when sucking disturb. Likewise should not be under any circumstances smoked in the environment. Sucking should not be artificially interrupted. At the end of sucking the leech of alone drops. Sometimes it happens that the animals suck after that are so slow-acting that they remain hanging on the patient. Into such to fall it helps to drive with a putty under the front suction cup and take so the leech off. Please you make sure however that them the leech thereby not crimpings around vomiting the leechs, and thus a possible infection to prevent. For this reason also no salt may be used for removing the leechs.
The leech stores the sucked blood over months in its stomach and digests it within one period of 1.5 years.”
